Dubois Water Utilities, Inc., - President Daniel L. Kluesner's Passing

The Dubois Water Utilities, Inc., Board of Directors, Advisory Board, Employees and the Utility Industry with deep sadness to inform the public of the passing of our Board President and close friend Daniel L. Kluesner. We send our deepest sincere sympathy to his wife Susie, Family and Friends, please keep them in your prayers. He will be missed by us all. A great loss to the Water Industry and Community. Danny served 40 years as a Director & 19 of those years as President, he gave his devoted time and loyalty to the Utility. He was always ready to help someone and a very special friend to all. Danny always took pride in the Utility and to make sure the public had the best service for water in the area. Thank you Danny for everything. Rest in Peace. 

Obituary for Daniel L. Kluesner

Dateline Dubois, Indiana 
Daniel L. Kluesner, age 75 of Dubois, Indiana, passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at home.
Daniel was born in Dubois, Indiana on August 19, 1944 to Albert and Marcella (Fromme) Kluesner. He married Susie Bauer on September 8, 1966 in St. Celestine Catholic Church.
He served in the U.S. Army Indiana National Guard and was a member of the Jasper American Legion Post #147.
Daniel retired from Norfolk-Southern Railroad after 34 years of service.
He was a member of St Isidore Parish - St. Raphael Catholic Church, were he served as their groundskeeper and a server for many funeral masses, and was a member of the Good Sheppard of the Hills Knights of Columbus.
He served on the Dubois Water Utilities Board of Directors, and had served on the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting trips to Colorado, and spending time with his friends and family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife, Susie Kluesner of Dubois, one daughter; Danielle Kluesner, Dubois, two sons; Shawn Kluesner (Keely), French lick, and Steve Kluesner (Rachael), Bretzville, four grandchildren, Kaedan, Brody, Tynley, and Sophie Kluesner, four sisters, Carol Gutgsell (Donnie), Dubois, Mary Jane Flinn, Dubois, Susie Schilling (Tom), St. Henry, and Nancy Kluesner, Jasper, five brothers; James Kluesner, Marvin Kluesner, Roger Kluesner (Deb), Herman Kluesner (Lynn), and Paul Kluesner, all of Dubois.

Preceding him in death were his parents.
Private funeral services will be held at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Dubois with burial at St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Dubois.
